We process personal data only to the extent necessary to operate this website, respond to enquiries, and establish and conduct business relationships. The applicable legal framework comprises the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), and the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021).

2. Hosting and email services

Our website and email accounts are hosted by the following provider:

Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus

Purpose: To provide the technical infrastructure for operating the website and for sending, receiving, and storing emails.

Data processed:

• Server log files: IP address, date and time of access, page or file accessed, volume of data transferred, HTTP status code, browser type and version, operating system, and referrer URL.

• Email communication: Sender and recipient addresses, time, subject, content, attachments, and technical connection data, including processing for spam and virus filtering.

Legal bases: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and efficient operation of the website and email communication); Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (establishing and conducting business relationships); Article 6(1)(c) GDPR (statutory retention obligations).

Data processing agreement: We have entered into a data processing agreement with Hostinger in accordance with Article 28 GDPR. Hostinger processes the data solely on our instructions. According to Hostinger, it uses sub-processors that are contractually required to comply with data protection requirements.

Storage location: Data for this website is stored on servers in France, with backup copies stored in Lithuania. Both locations are within the EU. If Hostinger or its sub-processors transfer data to countries outside the EU/EEA in individual cases (for example, during technical support), such transfers are based on an adequacy decision (Article 45 GDPR) or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Article 46(2)(c) GDPR).

Content Delivery Network (CDN): Hostinger uses a Content Delivery Network, including via the domain cdn.zyrosite.com, to deliver website content quickly and securely (for example, fonts, images, and scripts). This involves processing your IP address for technical reasons so that content can be delivered from an appropriate server. The CDN is operated as part of the processing carried out on our behalf by Hostinger or its sub-processors. Where servers outside the EU/EEA are involved, the transfer is based on an adequacy decision (Article 45 GDPR) or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Article 46(2)(c) GDPR).

Retention period: Server log files are deleted or anonymised after 30 days. Emails are retained for as long as they are necessary for the relevant purpose or statutory retention periods apply (generally 7 years for records relevant under commercial and tax law). They are then deleted.

Email security: Where technically possible, emails are transmitted using transport encryption (TLS). End-to-end encryption is not used. If you require a higher level of protection, please do not send us confidential documents without encryption.

3. Contacting us by contact form email or telephone

If you contact us using the contact form, by email, or by telephone, we process the information you provide (for example, your name, company, email address, telephone number, and message content) to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (taking steps prior to entering into a contract or performing a contract) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).

Retention period: We delete your enquiry once it has been fully dealt with and no retention obligations or legitimate interests (for example, documenting the business relationship) require further retention, and in any event after no more than 3 years. If a contract is concluded, we retain the data until the applicable statutory retention periods expire.

Disclosure: We disclose data to third parties only where necessary to handle your enquiry (for example, to manufacturers, suppliers, or freight forwarders) or where required by law. Data submitted through the contact form is transmitted via our hosting provider’s servers (see Section 2).

Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required for us to process your enquiry. Without this information, we cannot process your enquiry.

4. Cookies and consent management

Until you give your consent, this website uses only technically necessary cookies. We use these without consent on the basis of Section 165(3) TKG 2021. All other cookies and similar technologies are used only with your consent (Section 165(3) TKG 2021 and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

The following technically necessary cookies are currently used:

• cc_cookie (domain silkandmore.at): Stores your selection in the cookie banner (consent status, time of selection, and an identifier) so that you are not asked again every time you visit a page and we can demonstrate your decision (Article 7(1) GDPR). Retention period: 6 months.

• __cf_bm (CDN domain, zyrosite.com): A cookie provided by Cloudflare, a service provider used within the CDN. It protects against automated access (bots), helping to secure the website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Retention period: generally 30 minutes.

We do not currently use any web analytics or marketing services ourselves. Consent is obtained through Hostinger’s cookie banner. You can change your selection or withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future by using the corresponding link in the footer of this website to reopen the cookie banner. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

5. Fonts from Google Fonts via the Hostinger CDN

This website uses fonts from the Google Fonts library (for example, Roboto). These fonts are delivered through our hosting provider Hostinger’s Content Delivery Network (CDN), via the domain cdn.zyrosite.com, rather than being loaded from Google servers. When you visit the website, your browser therefore does not connect to Google servers for this purpose, and your IP address is not transmitted to Google for this purpose.

The processing of your IP address that is technically necessary to retrieve the fonts is carried out by Hostinger or its CDN service provider (see Section 2). The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a consistent and visually appealing presentation of the website).

6. Recipients of the data

Recipients of your data are Hostinger International Ltd. (hosting, email, and CDN), acting as a processor, together with its sub-processors, and, where we are legally required to disclose data, tax advisers, public authorities, and courts.

7. Your rights

You have the following rights: access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20), and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Article 7(3) GDPR).

8. Changes

We update this Privacy Policy when the website or the legal framework changes. If additional services are integrated in the future (for example, maps or videos), the policy will be supplemented with information about the relevant providers.
